Sheriff Villanueva has Delivered on Real Reforms
- As the first Democratic Sheriff in ver 138 years, Alex Villanueva delivered on each of his campaign promises. Many of Alex Villanueva’s reforms have been historic and unprecedented. These include;
- All sheriff deputies on patrol are now equipped with body worn cameras and body cameras in county jails are coming soon,
- Villanueva is the first Sheriff to publicly ban deputy gangs which led to his policy becoming state law,
- Villanueva has also promoted a record number of Asian, Latino, African American, female, and LGBTQ+ deputies and executives.
- Infact, 19% of all LA County Deputies are female.
- All transfers of inmates to ICE have been permanently banned, and
- Duty to report and cooperate with incidents of excessive use of force have been strengthened.
- It is one thing to talk about real reforms, it’s another to do them. REELECT SHERIFF ALEX VILLANUEVA.
